Count the blessings

1. Goodness trumps: The basic goodness outshines the negatives everywhere. The modern tools of information technology have united humanity everywhere. Though it has aided the evil too, the good is outshining them with commonality of purpose that is clearly evident to find peace. Even those who were part of the evil, like some involved in bombings in Indonesia, have started fighting against the forces that misguided them.
2. Benevolent nature: Despite dire warnings, we are mostly able to overcome challenges of natural disasters. Looks like we are given grace period to correct our ways!
3. Economic turnaround: We have learned the harsh lessons from our excesses but may not be enough still; we tempt fate again with a hope that bitter pills can be avoided! But the lessons of living beyond our means, borrowing from future generations, are made clear enough. It is plain bad karma that we should avoid at all costs.
4. World is united more than ever before: Despite public posturing, major powers are united like never before. They know their common enemy, not each other, but those everywhere that want to create havoc, those that are against peaceful common citizens!
5. Writing on the wall: There is only one way ahead; united we stand, divided we fall. The leaders have to act on this premise; they can even be followers of the clarion call resonating around the world. Make deals for peace as people have had enough of rhetoric that divides them!
