According to WBLT, a US Airways flight attendant based in Phoenix was found dead in a Mexico hotel while she was on a layover, police are treating the death as a possible homicide. The body of Nick Aaronson, 33 was said to be found early Saturday in his room at a Hilton hotel. The Mexico City’s prosecutor’s office said he was found unclothed on the floor with his hands tied behind his back, but showed no signs of beating or choking. Prosecutors said no drugs, weapons or messages were found but they are checking security cameras and autopsy has been planned.
Deborah Volpe, president of the Association of Flight Attendants Council said Aaronson was very popular and very well loved among the airlines based in Phoenix.
“It’s tragic,” Volpe told the Arizona Republic. “We are caring for our co-workers. We’re a tight-knit group in Phoenix.” A statement on the unions website says it doesn’t seem to be a safety breach at the hotel but crews will stay elsewhere temporarily while on layovers
