The objectives of the course are vital

Check the objectives for each course. This is very vital. Sometimes lecturers do not issue out objectives to their courses but would simply hand out course outlines. Follow them up for course objectives as these provide you with the aim of the course and what you really need to know within that course is well documented. The problem associated with using course outlines for studying is that they do not really pin point the relevant concepts of the course and those required to grasp. All they do is to inform you that study on this and that. They are just like an individual showing you the direction of a city where you are heading to, but without really telling you how far you have to go in that direction in order to arrive at that city. Thus study along with your course objectives and you will see yourself grasping the relevant material of your course outlines.
